Beach chair goals
During this 3-day workshop led by Jay Osgerby, we worked with materials supplied by Kettal, Barcelona- based furniture company. Our brief was to design and prototype an object for beach use. My goal was to create a lightweight beach chair inspired by beach futbol and fishing net patterns. I selected aluminum stock material and nylon rope to work with. I was inspired by a previous weaving workshop to create a version with extra structural support through interwoven webbing.
