For the initial handmade proto, the goal was simple. To begin with a standard training shoe as a base, adding aggressive rubber wrapups, and a technical lacing system which also secures an internal bootie, completed with a backwards-facing PUMA formstripe- a nod to the fact that this is the result of a process reversed



Then, I sketched from this prototype to arrive at a slightly more refined, functional version
