Following the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, there was a massive upheaval in the city with the result being a radical transformation of beaches, and with that, increased tourism.

With increased tourism, come polluted beaches, ocean, and disrupted ecosystems and food chains.

“How to Paella” explores this intimate relationship between people of Barcelona and their ocean, through a speculative narrative of future culture and Spanish cuisine in a post-industrial and post-natural world.
